BUY OR BYE: LUMINE 'POWERHOUSE SERIES SET'
Few months back I asked my Instagram followers either I'll upload review updates on my IG story nor the inclusive 'buy or bye' review about Lumine, palpably the latter conquered. In accordance to that victory, lo and behold the much awaited Lumine's 'Powerhouse Series Set' review — despite being sponsored, all convictions stated are honest. It actually took me long enough to upload a review since 1. I must make sure the products' performance before reviewing it and 2. my schedule has been immensely hectic — proven by my last life lately update: from attending Sketch Fest, murals, Volleyball varsity, theatre arts and speech choir trainings whilst balancing school and my social life.
From left to right:
1. Glow Boosting Tonic
Toning my skin is an enormous part of my skin care regime; knowing me, I am exceedingly picky when it comes to toners. Lumine's take on their toner is nothing short of splendid: it really does take off dirt and impurities of your skin that comes in a pleasant smell without that stinging feeling.
2. Illuminating Day Cream
Despite the product being a bit big, I still make sure I bring it wherever I go — that is how I love this product. It's a 2-in-1, a moisturizer and a sunscreen; however, the formulation is very thick, hence only little amount is necessary.
3. Rescue Serum
Although it is not oily and it does moisturize my skin after few hours of application, it did not meet my conjectures. Serums has always been prime to my routine; with that said, I've used a lot of serums — mostly better than the Lumine rescue serum's performance.
4. Ageless Clarifying Beauty Bar
True to its word, after using it and application of the Glow Boosting Tonic afterwards my skin feels ageless — My skin softens and illumes. Imagine a soap making your skin fresh all day whilst having such an exquisite scent, the soap's pros that are.
5. Alluring Night Cream
Before going to bed and after applying all my skin's needs, I put the Alluring Night Cream to my face and neck. When I wake up, my skin feels moisturized and glowing — not needing fix-ups for your 'woke up like this' selfies.
The final verdict: all, except the Rescue Serum, is worth the buy — especially the Alluring Night Cream aka the true secret to fresh morning selfies. For a ₱1,199 worth set, I would consider Lumine's 'Powerhouse Series Set' a must-buy since its price is affordable and based on my usage the set lasts for 6-8 months.
